Boom-Boom takes charge as Marvel announces ‘Fugitive X-Force’ #1

According to Seeley, the new series will directly explore the fallout from Inglorious X-Force.
“Fugitive X-Force is a natural extension of Inglorious, following up with the ramifications of the events of that series, with the militant, mutant strikeforce forced to pick up the pieces and move on,” Seeley said.
The writer also teased what makes Tabitha Smith the right mutant to take Cable’s place.
“Boom-Boom has years of experience watching Cable work,” Seeley said. “She’s his best pupil in blowing things up…and she also looks great in very big shoulder pads.”
Áthila Fabbio makes his Marvel series debut
For Fabbio, joining X-Force brings him to characters he has loved since childhood.
“I grew up in the ‘90s so Wolverine and Nightcrawler were my favorite characters, until I saw Cable!” Fabbio said. “I’m entering the world of X-Force with the same excitement I felt back then.”
The artist added that he has particularly enjoyed bringing the team’s new leader to life.
“I’m having a blast working with Tim Seeley and drawing what unfolds on these pages, and I hope readers enjoy it too! I am especially loving drawing Boom-Boom!”
Marvel also revealed the main cover by Eric Canete, which will be available as a virgin variant, along with a Gerardo Sandoval variant and the first of Mark Bagley’s Wanted Variant Covers. Fans can also get an early look at Fabbio’s interior artwork.
Fugitive X-Force #1 launches in December. Before then, Seeley’s Inglorious X-Force concludes with issues #9 and #10 in October.
